The first thing to learn is how to become a wiki member.As a matter of fact, once you are in this wikispace you can only read but you can't edit any pages (you'll see PROTETTO on the right).
To become a member and be allowed to contribute to this wiki, follow these simple nine instructions:
1.click onISCRIVITI A QUESTO WIKI (on the left column).
2.In the fieldNOME UTENTEwrite your username; in the fieldPASSWORDwrite your own password; in the fieldINDIRIZZO EMAIL write your REAL email address; check that the button is on 'NO' when you read the question Make a wikispace? Finally click onPARTECIPA. (IMPORTANT! Write your username and password somewhere, so that you can remember them!)
3.you’ll read the message ‘Abbiamo creato il tuo account su Wikispaces e ora sei pronto per partire. To join the nattaefl wiki, submit a request tothe wiki organizers’. In the field COMMENT write: ‘I’d like to join as a student’. Click onRICHIEDI ADESIONE. The message ‘Your request to join nattaefl has been sent to the wiki organizers’ will appear on the screen.
4.while you wait for the wiki organizers to accept your request, check your mailbox.There will be a message from Wikispace which says: ‘Confirm your email.Your email address has not yet been confirmed. Confirm your email address by clicking the link below’. Click on the link shown in your message.
Type in your NOME UTENTE and PASSWORD. Then click on the buttoneAccedi
You’ll see your username written on the top and the labelMODIFICA.
This means that now you are allowed to edit your page.
6.Click onEXCHANGE PROJECT WITH BELMONT HIGH SCHOOL (GEELONG, AUSTRALIA) on the left column.
7.In the text, click on the linkINTRODUCTIONS.
8.Now click on the labelMODIFICA: The following toolbar will appear:
You can now start writing your letter in the page. You can use the above toolbar to:
a) write words or sentences in bold (B), in italics ( I ) or underlined (U) b) change the size of words or sentences (click on the arrow and choose among:
Normal
Heading 1
Heading2
Heading 3
c) colour words or sentences (click on) d) insert Files (images or sounds): click on to upload a file from your computer (hard disk or flash pen); click on Upload Files. Select the fileyou want to upload from your computer and wait for the uploading. Finally,to insert the file into the page, click on the file name.
9.REMEMBER!When you have finished writing, click on Save Be patient! It'll take some seconds for the page to update!
